The Turkey-United States Cultural Exchange Commission, commonly known as the Turkey Fulbright Education Commission, was established in 1949 under a bilateral agreement signed between Turkey and the United States to support academic and cultural exchange programs among Turkish and American university graduates, researchers, and scholars; its budget is funded by contributions from the governments of both countries. Young academics who have earned their Ph.D. within the last five years may apply for the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, for which applications are now open, to conduct research in the United States in their respective fields. The deadline for applications for this fellowship, which will be awarded for the 2027–2028 academic year, is October 5, 2026. For our Doctoral Thesis Research Fellowship, doctoral students who are enrolled in a doctoral program, have determined their thesis topic, and wish to conduct research related to their thesis topic in the United States may apply. The deadline for applications for the Doctoral Thesis Research Fellowship for the 2027–2028 academic year is October 5, 2026.
