Online Processes for Master's Thesis Topic Submission, Doctoral Thesis Proposal and Doctoral Thesis Monitoring Defence

Dear Students

Doctoral Thesis Proposal and Doctoral Thesis Monitoring presentations will be made face-to-face as before. However, the explanation regarding the Online Processes of Master's Thesis Topic Notification, Doctoral Thesis Proposal and Doctoral Thesis Monitoring Defence forms and minutes is given below.

For 2024-2025 Academic Year Spring Semester;

 Master's Thesis Topic Notification between 02-January-14 February 2025

For Master's Thesis Topic Notification:

Step 1: The student fills out the Master's Thesis Topic Notification form,

Step 2: Approval by the student, then submission to the supervisor and Programme Coordinator for approval,

Step 3: After the approvals are given as Acceptance or Rejection, the phrase ‘signed by me’ will appear on the form and this phrase will be accepted as a signature.  When the form is rejected, the process should be restarted by editing again.

For 2024-2025 Academic Year Autumn Semester;

Doctoral Thesis Proposal Defence between 02 - 31 January 2025,   

Doctoral Thesis Monitoring between 02 - 31 January 2025,   

For PhD Thesis Proposal Defence/Doctoral Thesis Monitoring:
Step 1: The student initiates the Doctoral Thesis Proposal / Doctoral Thesis Monitoring Application,
Step 2: Face-to-face defence on the specified date,
Step 3: Filling in the Doctoral Thesis Proposal Report/Doctoral Thesis Monitoring Report after the defence, uploading the final version of the report and submitting it to the approval of the members of the Thesis Monitoring Committee,
When it is submitted to the approval of the members of the Thesis Monitoring Committee, an acceptance or rejection message will be sent to their corporate e-mails, and after the approvals are given as Acceptance or Rejection, the phrase ‘signed by me’ will appear on the form and this phrase will be accepted as a signature.   
 
Thesis Topic, Minutes and Report will be sent to the Department Heads and Department Secretaries via e-mail. Wet signed documents will not be requested.  
 
It is very important to check your e-mail addresses with GTU extension.
