Make-up Exam Application for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Period of Study_2026

As of the end of the 2024–2025 Academic Year:

Students who have completed the maximum period of study (7 years) but have not yet graduated from their registered undergraduate programs;

In accordance with Article 7 of the Implementation Principles for Associate and Undergraduate Students of Gebze Technical University Who Have Reached the Maximum Period of Study Without Graduating:

ARTICLE 7 –

  1. Students are granted two make-up exam rights for all courses required for graduation, including courses they have never taken and those for which they received grades of NA, FF, DC, DD, VF, or U.

  2. For courses that are evaluated based on in-semester performance and final exams and are of a practical nature (e.g., laboratory, project, studio, workshop, sketch, design, field work, seminar, graduation project, etc.), students must complete a 4–14 week practical component during the semester according to a program approved by the department chair as a prerequisite for taking the make-up exam.

  3. Students are granted two make-up exam rights for all failed practical courses listed in the curriculum during the first semester following the completion of their maximum study period. If the first make-up exam is not taken or failed, a second exam right is granted in the same semester. Depending on the department and nature of the course, the second exam right may also be granted in the second semester following the end of the maximum study period. Exams are held during or at the end of the semester on dates approved by the department chair.

2nd Make-up Exams: February 16-20, 2026
