!!!!! THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNS 2025-ENTRY UNDERGRADUATE PREPARATORY PROGRAM STUDENTS !!!!!
Dear GTU Undergraduate Preparatory Program Students,
The students whose overall grade point average for the 2025–2026 academic year fall semester is 65 or above may take the Undergraduate English Proficiency Exam to be held on Friday, 16 January 2026 between 09.30 - 12.30. Students with a GPA of 65 or above who wish to take the proficiency exam must tick the option “I will participate in the Proficiency Exam” via the forms link below and submit the form to the Department of Foreign Languages by clicking the “submit” button.
The list of students who will take the exam and the information regarding the buildings and classrooms where the exam will be held will be announced on our website no later than Thursday, 15 January. Please visit our website regularly.

The exam duration is 180 minutes. The exam consists of a total of 80 multiple-choice questions covering listening (note-taking & while listening), use of English, vocabulary, and reading sections. The exam will start with the listening section, and candidates who arrive late will not be admitted to this part of the exam. Late students will not be able to answer the questions related to the listening section they miss.
It is mandatory for all students to bring their student ID cards or Turkish ID cards to the exam. If a student ID card is not available, a student certificate obtained from the Student Affairs Office or via the e-government system will also be accepted. International students must bring their passports. Students who do not have any form of identification with them will not be admitted to the exam.
IMPORTANT NOTES
This form is only for 2025-ENTRY UNDERGRADUATE students. Students enrolled in previous years do not need to take any action to enter the exam. They will be automatically added to the class lists.
You can access the survey only with your GTU EMAIL ADDRESSES.
Students who entered in 2025 but whose fall semester GPA is below 65, or who failed the fall semester due to absenteeism, CANNOT take this exam.
The forms link below will be active on Wednesday, 14 January 2026 between 09:00 and 13:00. You will not be able to access the link before or after this time. Please wait for the specified date and time to use the link.
