Dear GTU Undergraduate English Preparatory Students,
According to the results of the Undergraduate English Proficiency Exam held on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, international students who are confirmed to study in the Preparatory Programme will take the Level Placement Exam on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
This exam will last one hour, from 10:00 to 11:00, and will be conducted in the Department of Foreign Languages Main Building, Classroom 201.

It is very important that you take this exam so that your English level can be determined accurately. If you do not take the exam, you will automatically start classes at the Elementary level. Beginning classes without determining your level will put you at a serious disadvantage, as the academic year lasts one full year and no class changes will be allowed.
All students are required to bring their student ID cards and national ID cards to the exam.
If you do not have a student ID card, you may present a student certificate obtained from the Registrar’s Office or via the e-Government system.
International students must bring their passports.
Students who fail to present any form of identification will not be allowed to take the exam.
The class placement results will be announced on the Department of Foreign Languages website on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, after the Level Placement Exam.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Only international students who registered after 13 October and failed the proficiency exam, thereby being required to attend the Preparatory Programme, will take this exam.
