Dear GTU Undergraduate English Preparatory Class Students,
According to the Placement Exam held on 8 October 2025, the class lists have been organised as follows:
If the name of your class starts with the letter A, you are in A Level (elementary).
If it starts with the letter B, you are in B Level (pre-intermediate).
If it starts with the letter C, you are in C Level (intermediate).
Our courses are conducted in two groups: morning and afternoon. The number that comes after the level letter shows which group you belong to. For example:

If you are in class A1-103, you are in Group 1 A Level.

If you are in class A2-203, you are in Group 2 A Level.

If you are in class B1-302, you are in Group 1 B Level.
This grouping means that while one group attends lessons in the morning, the other group has lessons in the afternoon. The timetable is arranged so that this alternates daily.
NOTE: The number following the level letter has nothing to do with your English proficiency level. It is only used to distinguish between the morning and afternoon groups.
Additionally, the Department of Foreign Languages conducts lessons in two different buildings. From your class names, you can also determine the building where your lessons will take place:

If your classroom number is between 100–204, your lessons are in the Main Building of the Department of Foreign Languages.

If your classroom number is between 301–305, your lessons are in the Architecture E-Block.
Face-to-face lessons will begin on Thursday, 9 October 2025, and attendance will be taken starting from this date. Therefore, on Thursday, you must be in your classroom at the lesson time indicated in the adjacent timetable, according to your group.
In this regard, please read the announcement titled “Book Supply for 2025–2026 Undergraduate Students” in the “Announcements” section of our website and obtain your books and additional materials to be used in lessons as soon as possible.
NOTE: Class C2-102 will have its lessons in Electronics Engineering classroom B02.
