Book Supply for Undergraduate Students (2025–2026)

RESOURCES TO BE USED FOR OUR UNDERGRADUATE ENGLISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM STUDENTS

Dear Undergraduate Students,

The books we will use throughout the 2025–2026 academic year will be provided through National Geographic Publishing. In order not to experience difficulties in class and in following the lessons, we strongly recommend that you purchase the original textbooks. Our university has absolutely no commercial interest, profit, or responsibility in these sales. However, since there is only one authorized distributor for the sale of these books and any purchases made outside of this may likely result in pirated copies, no alternative book list will be provided. Purchasing and using illegally printed books is against the law and constitutes a criminal offense.

Book sales will take place online between September 22 – October 5, 2025.

On Monday, October 6, 2025, you will be able to physically collect the books you purchased online from the stand that MK Kitap Sarayı will set up in the GTÜ School of Foreign Languages main building. The stand will be open between 08:30 – 16:30. You can collect your books by signing upon receipt.

Regardless of English proficiency level (A, B, C), all groups will purchase their books once at the beginning of the year, and there will be no further book sales. All levels will use the books they purchased at the beginning of the year throughout the academic year (fall and spring semesters).

Steps to Follow for Book Purchase:

IMPORTANT NOTE 2:

This year, all textbooks have been updated and renewed by the publisher. Therefore, we recommend that you do not purchase old editions from other sources. Since the content of old editions will differ, you may face difficulties following lessons and preparing for exams.

IMPORTANT NOTE 3:

A limited number of books will be provided free of charge to students who are financially disadvantaged. For this, please consult your academic advisor.

In addition to your textbooks, each level (A-B-C) will also have supplementary in-class materials. After learning your level, you can obtain these materials by printing them at Yeni Teknik Kırtasiye (opposite Kelebek Café) on campus.
